Title: Flavor Changing Neutral Current Processes in a Reduced Minimal Scalar Sector
(Submitted on 2 Dec 2013 (v1), revised 20 Feb 2014 (this version, v2), latest version 26 Aug 2014 (v4))
Abstract: In this work we will investigate all sources of Flavor Changing Neutral Current processes in the reduced minimal 3-3-1 model(RM331). In general 3-3-1 gauge symmetries, one of the three quark families must transform in a different way from the other two in order to cancel the gauge anomalies. As a result the universality of the neutral interactions mediated by the extra neutral gauge boson Z' is lost and FCNC processes will appear at tree level. In addition, novel sources of FCNC coming from the scalar sector arise as well. In particular, the lightest CP neutral scalar identified as the SM higgs particle and a new CP even neutral scalar contribute to these processes. In this work we calculated all contributions to the mass difference term for the mesons systems $K^{0}-\bar{K^{0}}$, $D^{0}-\bar{D^{0}}$, $B^{0}-\bar{B^{0}}$. In particular, studying the $B^{0}-\bar{B^{0}}$ we set the most stringent bounds on the masses of the scalars and gauge bosons of the model, namely, $M_{Z^{\prime}} \gtrsim 3045.22$ GeV,$M_{V^{\pm}} \gtrsim 829.07$ GeV, $M_{U^{++}} \gtrsim 832.92$ GeV and $m_{h_2^0} \gtrsim 815.71$ GeV.
