Title: Anomalous Hall conductivity and switch of antiferromagnetic net magnetic moment in exchange-biased bilayers
(Submitted on 2 Mar 2014 (v1), revised 10 Mar 2014 (this version, v2), latest version 8 Oct 2014 (v4))
Abstract: In this work, IrMn$_{3}$/insulating-Y$_{3}$Fe$_{5}$O$_{12}$ exchange bias bilayers are studied. The behavior of antiferromagnetic net magnetic moment $\Delta m_{AFM}$ is directly probed by anomalous and planar Hall effects. Anomalous Hall conductivity is observed in this noncollinear antiferromagnet. The exchange bias (EB) and rotational hysteresis are demonstrated to be induced by the irreversible switching of the $\Delta m_{AFM}$. In the training effects, the $\Delta m_{AFM}$ changes continuously. This work highlights the fundamental role of $\Delta m_{AFM}$ in the exchange bias and facilitate manipulation of AFM spintronic devices.
