Title: Quantum mechanical correlations satisfy the Bell inequality when non-commutation is taken into account
(Submitted on 6 Jul 2015 (this version), latest version 4 Mar 2016 (v2))
Abstract: For commuting operations, multiple data values exist simultaneously in quantum mechanics. For non-commuting operations data are conditional on prior outcomes, or they may be predicted as alternative outcomes of the non-commuting operations. The classical situation is similar, even though the fact of non-commutation is not recognized in an overarching formalism as it is in quantum mechanics. Given the qualitative differences, there would seem to be no a priori reason why correlation functions among commuting variables should be the same as those among non-commuting variables as Bell assumed. When data for commuting and non-commuting operations are explicitly computed quantum mechanically for the Bell case, the correlations are different, and they satisfy the Bell inequality.
