Title: Squashed entanglement in infinite dimensions
(Submitted on 31 Jul 2015 (this version), latest version 16 Oct 2015 (v5))
Abstract: We analyze the squashed entanglement of a state of an infinite-dimensional bipartite system (defined by direct translation of the finite-dimensional definition). We show the validity of all basic properties of an entanglement measure (with the continuity replaced by the lower semicontinuity) on the set of states having at least one finite marginal entropy.
It is proved that the squashed entanglement is continuous on any subset of states on which at least one of the marginal entropies is continuous (in particular, on the sets of states of bipartite finite-mode Bosonic system with bounded mean energy).
We also consider an alternative definition of the squashed entanglement in infinite-dimensions which gives globally lower semicontinuous entanglement measure coinciding with the previous one on the set of states having at least one finite marginal entropy (the global coincidence is conjectured but not proved). Advantages of this definition are discussed.
