Title: Mac Williams identities for linear codes as polarized Riemann-Roch conditions
(Submitted on 28 Apr 2016 (this version), latest version 20 Sep 2016 (v3))
Abstract: The present note shows that Mac Williams identities for the weight distribution of mutually dual linear codes are equivalent to Polarized Riemann-Roch Conditions on their zeta functions. It introduces Duursma's length, dimension and weight reductions of a linear code and establishes sufficient conditions for their existence. The note provides some averaging and probabilistic interpretations of the coefficients of Duursma's reduced polynomial of a linear code.
