Title: Far-from-equilibrium energy flow and entanglement entropy
(Submitted on 31 Dec 2016)
Abstract: The time evolution of the energy transport triggered in a strongly coupled system by a temperature gradient is holographically related to the evolution of an asymptotically AdS black brane. We study the far-from-equilibrium properties of such a system by using the AdS/CFT correspondence. In particular, we describe the appearance of a steady state, and study the information flow by computing the time evolution of the holographic entanglement entropy. Some universal properties of the quenching process are presented.
