Title: Pion transverse-momentum spectrum and elliptic anisotropy of partially coherent source
(Submitted on 18 Jul 2017 (v1), revised 30 Jul 2017 (this version, v2), latest version 13 Dec 2017 (v4))
Abstract: We study the pion momentum distribution of a coherent source and investigate the influences of the coherent emission on pion transverse-momentum spectrum and elliptic anisotropy. With a partially coherent source, constructed by conventional viscous hydrodynamic model and a parameterized coherent source model, we reproduce the pion transverse-momentum spectrum and elliptic flow in the peripheral Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76~$TeV. It is found that the influences of coherent emission on pion transverse-momentum spectrum and elliptic flow are related to the initial size and shape of the coherent source. This is a quantum effect but not from source dynamical evolution. The results of the partially coherent source with 33% coherent emission and 67% hydrodynamic chaotic emission are consistent with the experimental measurements of pion transverse-momentum spectrum, elliptic flow, and four-pion Bose-Einstein correlations.
