Title: Eliminating ultraviolet divergence in quantum field theory through use of the Boltzmann factor
(Submitted on 4 Sep 2019 (v1), revised 18 Sep 2019 (this version, v3), latest version 2 Apr 2020 (v5))
Abstract: In quantum field theory, it is generally assumed that particles are created and disappear uniformly at each point in momentum space. In this paper, we suggest that this creation and annihilation is suppressed by a relativistic canonical distribution $e^{-\beta|\bar{u}p|}/Z$, and demonstrate that the factor results in finite values for zero-point energy and the Green functions of quantum field theory.
