Title: A mathematical model for the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak
(Submitted on 2 Apr 2020 (v1), last revised 9 Apr 2020 (this version, v2))
Abstract: A mathematical model is proposed for quantitative description of the outbreak of novel coronavirus COVID-19 in China. Although the model is relatively simple, the comparison with the public data shows that an exact solution solution of the model (with the correctly-specified parameters) leads to the results, which are in good agreement with the measured data. Prediction of the total number of the COVID-19 cases is discussed and an example is presented using the measured data in Austria.
