Title: Second harmonic generation under doubly resonant lattice plasmon excitation
(Submitted on 29 Jun 2022 (this version), latest version 10 Nov 2022 (v2))
Abstract: Second harmonic generation is enhanced at the surface lattice resonance in plasmonic nanoparticle arrays. We carried out a parametric investigation on two-dimensional lattices composed of centrosymmetric gold nanobars to study the influence of the periodicity, the optical angle of incidence and the direction of the linear input polarization on the second harmonic generation. Adjusting the surface lattice resonance by tilting the metasurfaces with different periodicities to the fundamental or second harmonic wavelength enhance the conversion efficiency. At a specific period, both wavelengths could be simultaneously in resonance. In this double resonace case, maximum second harmonic power is achieved.
