Title: On parametric amplification in Josephson transmission line

Abstract: We consider the series-connected lossy Josephson transmission line (JTL), constructed basically from Josephson junctions (JJs), capacitors and resistors. We derive the continuum approximation equation describing the JTL. From the latter we derive equations describing pump, signal, and idler interaction and calculate the thresholds for the parametric amplification.
