Title: 1/f noise in hopping conduction: Role of multi-site aggregates
(Submitted on 1 Dec 2004 (this version), latest version 17 Dec 2005 (v3))
Abstract: We develop a model for the low-frequency $1/f$ noise built on the hierarchical structure of the fluctuating aggregates of hopping pairs. The multi-electron hops induce the fluctuations in the site energies of the hopping sites belonging to the percolation conducting clusters providing an exponentially wide distribution of the relaxation times. We derive the algebraic distribution function for the relaxation times giving rise to the $1/f$-type noise spectrum without the lower frequency bound.
