Abstract: This paper summarises a two-hour discussion at the Ninth International Conference on Quasicrystals, including nearly 20 written comments sent afterwards, concerning (i) the meaning [if any] of clusters in quasicrystals; (ii) phason elasticity, and (iii) thermodynamic stabilisation of quasicrystals.
