Title: Maximally entangled and decoherence-free resonating-valence-bond states
(Submitted on 16 Dec 2010 (v1), revised 23 Aug 2011 (this version, v3), latest version 15 Dec 2011 (v4))
Abstract: We show that high multipartite entanglement can be achieved through a homogenized superposition of valence bond states. Our derived entanglement rapidly increases with system size and saturates at its maximum allowed value. We also demonstrate that our highly entangled states are ground states of an infinite range Heisenberg model (IRHM) and represent a new class of resonating-valence-bond (RVB) states. The entangled RVB states produced from our IRHM are robust against interaction of spins with local phonons and represent a new class of decoherence free states.
