Title: Estimating measurement incompatibility via quantum steering and nonlocality
(Submitted on 27 Jan 2016 (this version), latest version 6 Jun 2016 (v2))
Abstract: The certification of Bell nonlocality or quantum steering implies the use of incompatible measurements. Here we make these connection quantitative. We show that by certifying nonlocality or steering one of the parties can also estimate the amount of measurement incompatibility present in the measurements performed by the other party. This is done by showing that new robustness-based steering and nonlocality quantifiers give lower bound to previously proposed incompatibility quantifiers. Our results can be seen as device independent or one-sided device-independent quantifications of measurement incompatibility, in which one party can estimate how incompatible the other party's measurements are without relying on any description of these measurements.
