Title: Generalized squeezing rotating-wave approximation to the isotropic and anisotropic Rabi model
(Submitted on 28 Jul 2016 (this version), latest version 13 Dec 2016 (v2))
Abstract: Generalized squeezing rotating-wave approximation (GSRWA) is proposed dependent on both the optimal displacement and the squeezing, which improves the previous methods only with the displacement parameter. By adding the viable squeezing, the GSRWA produces a general displaced-squeezed oscillator state instead of the original displaced state. A solvable Hamiltonian is reformulated in the same form of the ordinary RWA ones, giving the ground-state and the first-excited state energies explicitly. For isotropic case, the mean photon number and the ground-state energy are expressed approximately in terms of the analytical squeezing and the displacement, exhibiting a substantial improvement of the GSRWA with the additional squeezing terms. We also obtain reasonable accurate ground-state energy after the level-crossing point in the anisotropic case. Due to the squeezing effect, the GSRWA works better for a wide range of coupling strength as the atom frequency increases.
