Title: Depinning transition at the upper critical dimension
(Submitted on 6 Sep 2002 (this version), latest version 1 Apr 2003 (v2))
Abstract: We studied the effects of randomly distributed pinning disorder on a driven elastic interface at the upper critical dimension d_{c}=4. We have shown that for the case of random field disorder the interface undergoes depinning transition at a critical driving force F_{c}. Using the functional renormalization group we have found the force-velocity characteristics and the displacement correlation function in the one-loop approximation. Slightly above the depinning transition the velocity is determined by the equation F-F_{c} ~ v/ | ln v | ^{2/9}, while the displacement correlation function behaves with distance x as (ln x Lambda_{0})^{2/3} for large x.
