Title: A continuous-time solver for quantum impurity models
(Submitted on 30 Dec 2005 (v1), revised 16 Jan 2006 (this version, v2), latest version 24 Aug 2006 (v3))
Abstract: We present a new continuous time solver for the quantum impurity models relevant to dynamical mean field theory. The method is based on a stochastic sampling of a perturbation expansion in the impurity-bath hybridization parameter. For the one-orbital Hubbard model, no sign problem is found. Comparisons to Hirsch-Fye quantum Monte Carlo as well as exact diagonalization calculations confirm the accuracy of the new approach and show that it allows an efficient calculation of the Green function even at very low temperatures. Extensions to more general models are discussed.
