Title: Kondo asymptotics in the single-impurity Anderson model: Parquet approach

Abstract: We study the strong-coupling limit of the single-impurity Anderson model within the diagrammatic parquet approach. We simplify the parquet equations in the critical region of the metal-insulator transition to an analytic theory determining self-consistently irreducible vertices from the electron-hole and electron-electron channels. We demonstrate that the existence of a low-frequency singularity in the two-particle vertex and a proper balance between electron-hole and electron-electron multiple scatterings are necessary assumptions for emergence of the Kondo scale.
