Title: Marginal intermediate statistics in the excited spectra of the generalized Jahn-Teller systems
(Submitted on 29 Nov 2006 (this version), latest version 20 Jun 2008 (v4))
Abstract: Long-range fluctuations in excited spectra of $E\otimes (b_1+b_2)$ Jahn-Teller model reflected in the spectral rigidity $\bar{\Delta}_3$ approach asymptotically intermediate statistical behavior apart from cases of higher symmetry. This marginal behavior shows up a close analogy to that of the three-dimensional Anderson model of a disordered system near the point of its metal-insulator transition.
This analogy is supported by the analysis of the inverse participation ratios and related fractal dimensions. A weak multifractality of vibron wave functions allows to classify this model as a member of the class with multifractal eigenfunction statistics.
