Title: Irrational eigenvalues of almost expansive cellular automata

Abstract: We show that an almost expansive cellular automaton according to Gilman's classification cannot have irrational eigenvalues. This completes the proof that any surjective cellular automaton cannot have irrational eigenvalues for the uniform measure.
